British folk rock band MUMFORD & SONS just announced a string of tour dates this year. In support of their new album “Rushmere,” the band is heading out for a massive 2025 tour. The “I Will Wait” hitmakers marked their first album in seven years, a beautiful follow-up to 2018’s “Delta.” This time, they’re taking a step right back to their roots, quite a departure from their previous album’s introduction of some electronic interludes. Embracing their folk heritage, it’s definitely a Mumford & Sons album by heart.
On this night at the Red Rocks, they’ll be joined by Madison Cunningham who will open the night.
With a new album behind their backs, the band is all set to hit the road. Launching the tour this June with plans to extend through October, it’s a huge year for the Grammy Award-winning folk band. Across 10 tracks, the band revisits what they do best. Folk and blues tones shining through in every powerful story. A welcome return to recording, this multi-platinum selling band isn’t hitting the brakes anytime soon.
“I think this has been the most prolific two years we’ve ever had as a band,” they wrote on Instagram. “We’re restless to get going.”
With a renewed spirit, the band, following Winston Marshall’s departure found themselves back in tune after taking some time off from writing. Rediscovering themselves, we’ve got our hands back on their most beautiful and thoughtful acoustic melodies that all won our hearts.
“Because we're no longer as rushed as we used to be, the creativity of 'Rushmere' comes from us carving out more space for our (best) artistic selves,” Mumford told USA TODAY.
Heading back on tour, the band is excited to bring these new songs to the live stage. Make sure you’re part of the celebration.
On tour, the band will be joined by special guest Madison Cunningham to open the night at the beautiful Red Rocks. Hailed by Rolling Stone as “a new spin on West Coast folk-rock, with classical tendencies, electric guitars, jazz-school chord changes and alt-rock strut all living under the same roof,” she’s one of the best emerging players in the folk scene.
Her hit album “Who Are You Now” was nominated for Best Americana Album at the Grammy Awards in 2019 while her third studio album “Revealer” won the award in 2023. Hitting the road with Mumford & Sons, you’re in for a night of two living legends who bring out the best of FOLK!
Everyone knows that the Red Rocks Amphitheater is one of the most beautiful concert venues in the world. Visited by legendary names in music, it’s a must on every tour. Get ready to witness the band’s beautiful music and live-stage productions light up the sky as everyone sings along.
